2025 VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

What will I be doing?

Volunteers play a crucial role in making the event a success—from welcoming and guiding cyclists to the start line to supporting spectators along the course. You’ll also help refuel participants at feed stations and, of course, cheer them across the finish line while handing out those all-important rewards!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are ready to step up and support the event on the day. Flexibility is key—you may be asked to assist in different areas as needs arise.

What is my reward for volunteering?

Volunteering is a great way to engage with sporting events, develop skills, and make a valuable contribution to the event. We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers who help to make the whole event run smoothly.

All volunteers will be offered a free entry into a 2026 event of their choice. Volunteer groups can opt for a financial donation - more information here.

What skills do I need?

No specific skills are required to volunteer—just a positive attitude and a willingness to help! However, good communication skills and the ability to take initiative are always beneficial. A proactive approach and plenty of enthusiasm will go a long way in keeping the cyclists motivated!

We welcome volunteers of all abilities and do our best to accommodate accessibility needs. Some roles involve light lifting and standing for extended periods, so if any adjustments are needed to make a shift more comfortable, we’re always happy to help.

Volunteer Groups

If you are part of a group or you are a scout or cadet leader - why not volunteer with us? It is a great way to raise funds for your group, as we offer £40 per volunteer. Please note that the volunteers must be over the age of 14 on event day.
